Each pair of Le Monde Béryl shoes is handcrafted in Italy using thoughtfully sourced leathers and fabrics. Chosen for their integrity and character, these materials are intended to evolve gently with wear.
Variations in tone, grain and marking are inherent to natural materials and form part of the individuality of each pair. Leather soles will naturally soften and wear over time.
Considered care will preserve their beauty and extend their life.
Before the first wear, apply a gentle leather protector, taking time to cover the surface evenly and completely.
Let the leather breathe. If your shoes get wet, gently pat dry with a soft cloth and allow them to dry naturally at room temperature. Do not rub or apply direct heat.
Between wears, allow your shoes to rest. When not in use, store them in their dust bag in a cool, dry place. Gently use a dry, clean and soft cloth to remove any marks, and avoid any harsh substances.
For calf or nappa leather use a soft damp cloth (in lukewarm water) and gently rub the dust or marks to remove. For suede use a brush and brush in the direction of the grain. For textiles or natural finishes, use a fabric protector suited to delicate materials.
Leather soles will naturally soften and wear over time. This is not a fault, but a reflection of use. We recommend adding a rubber sole to calf leather-soled styles to help protect and extend their longevity.
Should the sole become uneven or start splitting, we suggest re-soling at a reputable cobbler to give them a new life. This quiet ritual of care will preserve their beauty, and deepen their character over time.
